Now your application is at the 'Ready to Hire' stage you'll see a new status next to where your stage is displayed. This status highlights where you are at in the hiring journey.
Visible - resort directors can see your profile (You'll still be able to edit and add more to it).
On Review - A resort is interested in your profile. You might start to receive emails or phone calls from resorts so keep an eye out!
Confirmed - Well done! You've got your resort placement but we're just finalizing a few confirmation details with them.
Placed - Congratulations! Get ready for America.
Browsing resorts and requesting interviews
Once you are Ready to Hire, use the Resorts section to find a placement. You can filter by role or start date, or jump to resorts that are already interested in you. You can request an interview with one resort at a time, so look around before you commit. If a resort has not opened its roles yet, choose I'm Interested to get on their radar. The list changes constantly as resorts open up and fill their spots, so keep checking back.
Hiring fairs
Hiring fairs are a great way to interview with several resorts. Online hiring fairs are virtual, and in-person hiring fairs are held in selected locations where a resort sends a representative. You will find events you can sign up for under Available Events, and the ones you have registered for under My Upcoming Events.
Messaging resorts
Once resorts start reviewing your application and you have interviews scheduled, you can message each other directly in your profile. Keep an eye on your messages and reply quickly.
Your Preparation course
If you are a first-time participant, the Preparation course is mandatory and must be completed before you travel. You will find it in the Courses section, and we will email you when it is ready if it is not there yet. It is worth completing any optional courses too.
Can I contact resorts I'm On Review with?
Yes, you can but we don't advise it. Most resorts have an interview and selection process that they work through prior to setting an interview. If you have waited more than 5 days to hear from the resort that you are On Review with then please let us know!
I was On Review, and now I am not and I didn't hear from the resort, what do I do?
Don't worry, people can be On Review a number of times before they are placed. It is completely normal.
What if I don't want to go to the resort that has me On Review?
We advise you take every interview opportunity you get, as it’s very hard to judge a resort by its website, and you get much more of a real feel for the resort at the interview. Depending on the reasoning behind why you don't want to go to this resort, it could affect your refund policy.
