Roles

The front-of-house and back-of-house roles available at resorts and what they involve.

Last updated June 16, 2026

There are loads of job roles available at our resorts. Find out more about the roles available.

Work in front-of-house positions such as servers, hosts, front desk agents, activity specialists, or if you prefer back-of-house positions include dishwashers, laundry and cooks. Resorts love to hire international staff to bring in new culture, diversity and skills. You can teach what you love, have fun and live the American dream. The resort guests also appreciate speaking and sharing stories with staff from all over the world.

What roles can I do?

Resorts hire for a wide range of roles. Guest-facing roles need a good level of spoken English, while back-of-house roles are a great fit if you want to build your English as you work.

  • Guest-facing (good spoken English needed): server, barista, bartender, host, busser, front desk agent, bell person, room service, shop attendant, activity attendant, pool attendant, and lifeguard.
  • Back-of-house (great for developing your English): dishwasher, line cook, food prep, housekeeper, laundry attendant, spa attendant, golf course maintenance, and gardener.

Do I have to have a specific skill?

It’s always good to say a few things you have experience in (but it doesn't mean you have to be necessarily skilled). If you're passionate about a role, it's likely you have experience in this before. Resorts are always looking for big personalities to fill their properties with energy and spirit. As long as you’re yourself, you’ll be great.

Do I need to have qualifications?

No, we are looking for enthusiasm. If you’re applying to work in a more specialized role, it helps if you have qualifications and experience.
